So I made it back in one piece. I got sick from eating meat when I got back. So let that be a lesson after eating no meat for more than two weeks, don't eat a cheeseburger and an all meaty meat pizza the day you get back. Actually I didn't get use to meat again for about a week after I got back.
Anyway, this is the first of my follow up posts. I've been goin through my pictures from the trip and I think they are the best way to recall and comment about what happened. I'm posting the London ones today on my facebook profile so go check them out! London was certainly and interesting bend in the journey. In my prev post I explained that there was a delay, what i didn't explain was the delay was for a change in light bulb and waiting for other flights so they could make their connections. But when we got stuck in Newark they blaimed it on weather and refused to give us much help. At this point I was pretty low, I wanted to go talk to the Continental lady and blame them... but it was my place... so i just tried to go on with the flow. That night I was sure Dan was gonna contact the Hnrs office and they were gonna say to schedule tickets to come back home and cut the losses... boy am I glad this didn't happen. We split into two groups and my group spent the day in London.
Although we were freezin (cause we were dressed for 80 Mumbai weather [always bring a wind breaker while traveling]) we saw some awesome things. Museum, big ben, the tube, and spent some time at a English Pub. The story to tell though is how half of us went to the pub and the other half went to the museum. The group that went to the museum said they would meet us at the museum cafe in an hour. So Pub group decided to spend an extra 15 min at the pub... cause we were havin a damn good time. Anyhoo... ended up at the cafe about 20-30 min late, and other half of our group... not there... I went a look around the museum lobby and checked the entrance and bathrooms... nobody. So after waiting for a while we decided we had to go. And hope they would make it to the terminal and we'd meet up with them there (side note... we're in london, our cells don't work). Anyhoo they did make it to the terminal... after us... turns out there were two cafes (both serving cupcakes in a pyramid fashion), in the basement of this museum. Anyhoo... I'm not an experienced Tube traveler.
... more later... next... The King Fisher Experience!
